Halloween 2012 warms up!

This 1965 Italian film would have been better named Plantet of the Zombies or Planet of the Possesed. There was not one vampire in this picture. But it was fun and well done for the time.
Today is only July 12 2012 and one of my coworkers said to me, "Halloween is just a few months away." I was shocked. So yes my 2012 Halloween Celebration has come to life, and I begin with a science fiction zombie mix movie.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, narrated by Glenn Close

I was pleasently supirsed by this nicely drawn out version of The Headless Horseman. I found this one on VHS but there may be DVD versions of it available. This is one of those Halloween stories that gets interpreted over and over. Usually I don't care for "versions" of an original, but in this cage I enjoy seeing other people's works on the subject.

Big Foot

After watching "In Search Of: Big Foot" as a kid, I developed a fear of this mythical creature. So to me all things Big Foot are also Halloween. This book is about adaptation as it affects evolution and not so much about Big Foot itself.

The Cleaveland Show

I love a little sacraligious fun. This show and Family Guy are great for suprising even my worldly mind.

The Big Bang Theory TV Show

This picture makes me smile everytime I see it. The Big Bang Threory takes a good laugh at Halloween and out society's customs.

The Simpsons Halloween Specials

Year after year the Simpsons come out with really strange speicals. They should come out with a DVD of all Halloween Specials.

Library Halloween Day II 10/31/11

It is Halloween day! I'm at work and playing lots of scary movies. We also had a big Halloween party and many staff wore costumes. More candy and favors than anyone could eat.

For lobby movies we played:
1) Horror of Dracula 1957
2) Nightmare on Elm Street
3) Halloween II
4) Sleepy Hallow
5) The Sixth Sense
